Timeline // March 2011 – January 2018
Type // Startup project; software design and development by Jurema
The first digital platform in Latin America dedicated to support architects and interior designers in their daily work, a place where they can find a curated list of products, suppliers, service providers and a wide reference library for architectural design and decoration.
Founded by Kiko Salamão and Sylvio de Barros, Jurema was invited to get on board to help create and develop the startup idea. Until that time, in 2010, there were no internet companies dedicated to that value proposition and target market.
Today Arkpad is a marketplace where users are able to buy products directly in the platform – and that was what motivated the initial business plan. Arkpad was created to, at first, build a wide and useful database of references, products and suppliers. With that, the startup would have th stage set to start its main goal of becoming a marketplace.
The team was responsible for the service conception during the very early stage, from its co-creation (defining the minimum viable product along with the founders), brand development, user experience and interface design of both web and mobile platforms (iPhone and iPad), software development and maintenance.
With more than 15.000 cataloged products, Arkpad is currently the main online catalog and marketplace in the architecture and interior design field.

What I learned
Working closely with the client in a agile environment gave me abilities to deal with conflict management and better organize priorities (specially in a growth stage, creating a balance with demand coming from different teams).
